Earth and Space Sciences Center

A part of the Powerhouse Science Center campus, the Earth & Space Sciences Center will provide visitors with focused learning about the natural environment through Earth Systems Science, which studies the Earth’s four spheres and their interactions.

Through this framework, visitors will achieve a multi-layered and interdisciplinary understanding of the significance, value, challenges, solutions, and relationships of natural resources. Educational and interactive opportunities will be offered via the following features:

• 150 seat, 55 foot full domed multi purpose theater, which also serves as a planetarium.
• 2 floors of exhibit space, with exhibits such as the Challenger Learning Center and the Magic Planet.
• Outdoor exhibits and interpretive signage.
• Open-air stage and screen.
• State-of-the-art multimedia equipment.
• Sustainable, environmentally friendly design elements.
